Exams are over…

October 28, 2006

So, the 5 exams in the past 5 days have been pretty draining. I managed to get reasonable amount of sleep during the week (am I having better work habits?!). It didn’t help that the last exam, circuits, was a super tough exam and most of the class is hoping for a pass. We all knew it would be the most difficult one, but nobody expected a 1.5hr exam with one op-amp design question and also input resonse questions that the prof hasn’t even taught!

Sorry, there are no new pictures in the past week. Time to bust out the camera, I have missed enough of the fall season.

Distractions!

October 19, 2006

Even though my work is not done, I can’t resist taking out my camera. I won’t let Engineering take over my life entirely.

Since my current laptop’s USB drives are not working, I can’t get to any of my older files. So I can only upload recent shots taken in Waterloo.

If anyone like OBSCURE music like my friend Ludwik, he has a site at www.music.tron09.com featuring concert reviewing and upcoming events. I must the reviews are quite entertaining to read.

Pre-exam Period

October 15, 2006

This term is not getting any easier. This weekend almost everyone in the class is dedicated to the 30page Real Time Operating System document that is due Friday.

It has been cold in Waterloo, 3 snow days already and it is not even halloween yet. Here are some pictures around campus.

Giant Laser hitting the building! Ok..my jokes are lame. :P

Entering midterm cramming period (my ‘stay up-to-date’ plans have failed me again..haha) to prepare for the 5 midterms in 5 days grind.

Thanksgiving Weekend

October 11, 2006

A long weekend that is too short. But good nonetheless.

Thanksgiving Baptismal Service, Congrats Herman!
A lot of out-of-towners also came home for the weekend, some of them I haven’t seen for over half a year.
Sunday night, the high school friends gathered at Kathy’s house for a potluck. Kathy and Elton’s turkey was superb.
There was also squash soup, dumplings, samosas, fries, and shepard’s pie…dessert was cheese cake, pumpkin pies.
Before and After. Haha.

Karen squishing me!
