A Year End Reflection

December 31, 2007

So I had this idea, how would I represent the past year with a single picture?
I chose this picture because I feel there it is so carefree and joyful with such a simple composition.

At a glance, this year flew by so quickly but after reviewing the events through the two work terms and 3A I realized it was a year filled with new lessons and experiences. I think this is the year for opening my eyes and learning about who I am.

This year I also learned that no matter how insignificant, being too young is not an excuse anymore. I learned to appreciate how much I have and shouldn’t take it for granted. For example, how often do we wake up in the morning and think “I am so glad I don’t have any illness or pain in my body” or “I don’t have to worry about basic necessities such as shelter, food, and water”.

It can be discouraging to read about the pollutions and effects of global warming but it is also important to see the bright side as well. I am looking forward to the coming year, bring it on 2008!

Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2007

The year of 2007 seemed like a blur now that I look back at it. I want to take some time this break to reflect on the past year and maybe set a few New Year resolution for once.

Merry Christmas to all!

Raptors Vs Celtics

December 22, 2007

On Sunday I went with Jon, Karen and Justin to the Raptor’s game. Even the snowstorm couldn’t dampen the spirit of the fans and it was a full-house at the Air Canada Center.

The Celtics were running for the best track record and the Raptors were on a winning streak so both teams really wanted the win to keep the momentum going. Here are some blocks from the game.

Final Week At Spin Master

December 17, 2007

The last week at Spin Master. Been pretty busy with PDEng and shovelling snow. :)
Midweek after after our floorball game, in which we beat the best team in the league 7-6, we went out to a local bar where a co-worker was performing. We were surprised when 6 others from the graphics department dropped by as well and we dominated the whole bar.

It was a lot of fun and the music was great. Just that getting home really late on a Wednesday night is not such a good idea….

Team Activity Day – Bowling!

You have to love bowling places for the smells, florscent lighting, and the shoes, it is all part of the experience.

Adrian was a a row and he scroed 183pts, the record for the day! I was getting better but still struggled to break the 3-digit mark…
I haven’t really felt the urge to go back to school. Maybe I am having too much fun at the toy company. :)
