Trip to Ottawa

February 28, 2008

Over the reading week I went with AJung to visit her previous roommate to Ottawa. It was snowing the entire way to Ottawa but the road conditions were still manageable.

AJung’s roommate, Sun-ah, showed us around town and took us to her favorite restaurants.

Skating on the Rideau Canal was a lot of fun, it would be pretty interesting to be able to skate to work.

AJung looked over the hill with the Indian Chief, her coat got stuck to the bronze statue and reminded me of the scene from Dumb and Dumber.

Terry is probably the happiest dog I have ever met, any mention of going out and he is darting around with excitement!

View of Quebec from the Parliment buildings, I wish I had more time so I can spend a whole day in the Museum of Civilization.

Reading Week

February 18, 2008

After a grueling week of midterm cramming and getting demolished by the last exam. We decided to go for sushi buffet to to eat our depression away. This is the block diagram for the bowl of ice-cream.

It was a nice excuse for me to use the camera again and capture some of the silliness. Ben stealing peas, getting burned by wasabi, and Yassir with his 3rd order of shrimp tempura.

What a great way to kick start the Reading Week! Hehe

Festival of Lights 2007

February 5, 2008

Been meaning to post this for a while now, the event actually occurred on December 21, 2007.
Festival of Lights is always a lot of fun with lots of dances, music, and performances. I met up with Horace at his office and headed to Kensington Market.

It was very hard shooting at night but the bonfire provided some very dynamic lighting.

There were a few performers from Circus Without Borders juggling with fire!

This is a shot from Horace’s Perspective.
