A while ago, I said I would stop buying manual focus lenses. But I just couldn’t stop myself from trying the legendary 50mm F/1.2.
Even though it is more cumbersome to manually adjust everything but this lens can make everything seem surreal with its buttery smooth bokeh.
We went to Dos Amigos to celebrate Charlie’s birthday. The service was a little slow but the food was pretty good.
Kenny showing off his pipes to impress the ladies. I think he had a better chance with his
ripped pants.
After exam gathering at the Huether Hotel and the Spur. I didn’t want to wait for the bus so I ‘borrowed’ a bike from next door. This bike is not locked and haven’t been touched as far as I know so I deemed it as a ‘community bike’. Despite the fact that it squeaks at 8 different places it was very much functional. Since I didn’t have a lock I had to hide the bike in a random alley near the bar.
Group performance at the Spur. Pat is seduced by Ben’s soulful rendition of Hero by Enrique Iglesias.
ABS (ABLOS missing L & O) breakfast at 7am before Anthony’s train. I love Anthony’s expression in the second picture.
Waterloo Engineering Stage Band, With Respect to Time, performed earlier this week for their end of term Charity Gig.
Here are some of the pictures from the performance.
Brandon, the guy with the top hat playing bass, is from Mechatronics. W00T.
The view from the balcony. A pretty good turn-out I’d say.
They have even managed to incorporated some vocals to the songs.
Toward the end the trumpet players were going all out….jumping around and moving to the front of the stage.

Not much happened in the last week. All the projects/labs have been handed in, lost all the playoff games and we are just taking a few days to re-coup before hitting the books for finals.
It is almost exam time and of course the weather is really nice. Here I am shoveling ice off the 2nd story balcony just so I can stay outside.
