We are back, safe and sound! Here are some of the places we visited in the second half of the trip. We were very lucky to have nice weather for the duration that we were in Newfoundland, once we hit the road to head home it started to rain again.
St.John’s Harbor viewed from Signal Hill.
The city of St.John’s.
Watching the sunrise from Cape Spear, the most easterly point in North America. The clouds formations were amazing!
Chasing after icebergs. Often involve driving onto random gravel roads to get as close to the shore as possible. We were surprised the GPS has those road in the database.
One of our last hikes in Newfoundland. Taking in the view before driving to the ferry pier.
After the overnight ferry we arrived in Cape Breton National Park. The drive along the Cabot Trail was amazing.
We were blocked by a mother with two baby moose traveling on the same road. We followed them slowly up and down several little hills before they dashed into the woods and disappeared.
The Coastal drive as seen from the top of the Skyline Trail.
After Cape Breton we started our journey home and arrived in Montreal on the 27th. We spent a day touring around the city, eating smoked meat sandwiches, and finally fulfilled our Dooly’s night out.
