My new camera for the daily commute – Panasonic Lumix GF-1 with the Lumix G 20mm F1.7 ASPH & DMW-LVF1 Live View Finder.

Just 2 years ago, I got my hands on the Panasonic Lumix LX-3 and it has accompanied me on different journeys. It is usually Carmen’s camera when we go traveling and I ‘convinced’ her she needs something a little better!

A big reason why I bought in to Micro 4/3 is mostly due to the 20mm lens. Once I have tried it out on my brother’s Olympus EP-1, I was sold. I couldn’t get my mind off this great pancake prime.

Sharp, low distortion, buttery bokeh….

I want one!

A major improvement from the LX3 is the high ISO performance. Though I do miss the in-body image stabilization which I take for granted.

But most importantly, it is just a fun (little) camera! Now I just have to keep myself from checking out other M4/3 lenses!
